CoE Office Hour: Introducing an Innovative Toolkit to Advance Health Equity in Integrated Care Settings
Integrated care settings play a critical role in addressing health inequities by extending comprehensive and whole-person care to those most in need. To better support providers and their organizations in addressing health disparities, the Center of Excellence for Integrated Health Solutions, in partnership with the Multicultural Development Institute, Inc., developed Access for Everyone: A Toolkit for Addressing Health Equity and Racial Justice within Integrated Care Settings. The goal of this toolkit is to provide knowledge, resources, and support tools to assist integrated care professionals in their understanding of health inequities, and ultimately, advance health equity among their patients and staff.
The unprecedented challenges presented by the COVID-19 global pandemic have contributed to worsening mental health and substance use conditions across the nation, and have disproportionately impacted the wellbeing of Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC) populations. Now more than ever, social and racial injustice and inequities are at the forefront of public health.
Join us on Monday, November 15, from 2 – 3 p.m. ET for the unveiling of our new toolkit. We’ll hear from integrated health and health equity experts as they walk through key components of this toolkit and discuss ways it can support advancing health equity within your organization!
