We often explore the topic of allyship and the importance of advocating for social justice, but in today’s divided society, this can be a sensitive area. During this event, Dr. Ami Roeschlein and Dr. Mariela Aceves will explore how to employ effective communication techniques to advocate for equity when collaborating with colleagues who may be turned off by the term ‘social justice.’ Our speakers will walk participants through how to appropriately manage conflict and increase accountability as it relates to workplace culture.
By attending this webinar, participants will:
- Increase confidence when engaging in conversations related to social justice in the workplace.
- Develop a working knowledge of positionality, biases and beliefs that may influence the way in which colleagues view social justice issues.
- Recognize how to contribute to the development of an effective team with an emphasis on trust, accountability and productive conflict.
