Ambassador Network
What is the National Council Ambassador Network?
Members of the National Council’s Ambassador Network are superstar advocates dedicated to cultivating strong relationships with their elected federal officials. It’s said that “All politics is local,” so Ambassadors play a critical role in highlighting the local impact of federal policies – and when votes come down to the wire, their relationships with legislators can help tip the scales.
The Ambassador Network is designed for individuals who have existing and close relationships with members of congress and are willing to utilize them to achieve mental health and substance use policy wins in Washington, D.C. National Council Ambassadors receive advanced advocacy training, up-to-the minute information and support from National Council staff to foster a culture of advocacy at their organizations. Ambassadors work for National Council member organizations, state associations, or are Mental Health First Aid instructors.
We Can’t do this without you.
