National Council Launches Enhanced Leadership Development for Enhanced Mental Wellbeing

The National Council for Mental Wellbeing will launch the High Performance Leadership Academy in early 2024. Designed in partnership with the Professional Development Academy, this 12-week online program enables staff to achieve their fullest potential, making them smarter, more effective leaders.

The program leverages expertise and insights from industry-leading executives, career coaches and university professors including General Colin Powell and Marshall Goldsmith.

It covers topics such as positive mindset, the four strategies of positive leadership, mutual gains collaboration and negotiation, effective communication and aligning resources to do more with less. The curriculum addresses the full spectrum of competencies needed to support existing leaders and prepare emerging leaders for the challenges of today and tomorrow.

Additionally, the academy is designed to be non-disruptive to already busy schedules. It requires just a few hours online each week to fully engage. The first session begins Jan. 8, and additional sessions will be available midyear.

Highly effective leadership is a growing need, and the National Council is working to address that need through this new program. For more information or to enroll, email Amber Williams at AmberW@TheNationalCouncil.org or Luke Afeman at LukeA@PDALeadership.com.
