Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an evidence-based training program administered by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges.

Suicide is a leading cause of death n the U.S. Each year, over 44,000 people who live in the U.S. die by suicide, and for every suicide, 25 will attempt.
When more people are equipped with the tools they need to start a dialogue, more people can get the help they need.
The National Council provides training to support mental health, including Mental Health First Aid. This course teaches how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges, giving participants the skills they need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a problem or experiencing a crisis.
