Jake Bowling

Jake Bowling is the Director of Practice Improvement at the National Council, where he leads the Reducing Adolescent Substance Abuse Initiative, a national learning community focused on implementing SBIRT- a substance use prevention and early intervention protocol- in mental health organizations that serve adolescents. In addition, he works with the SAMHSA-HRSA Center for Integrated Health Solutions, managing the provision of training and technical assistance to behavioral health providers who are integrating HIV prevention and primary care with behavioral healthcare. Prior to joining the National Council, Jake directed one of Pennsylvania’s four certified navigator programs at the Mental Health Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania, a team of benefits specialists and consumer advocates, a peer workforce development initiative, an HIV peer navigator team, and web-based CBT intervention program that utilized Certified Peer Specialists.
