Mental Health First Aid at Work
A mental health training program that teaches participants how to notice and support an individual who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use concern or crisis in a work environment and connect them with appropriate employee and community resources. Mental Health First Aid at Work is a skills-based, experiential and evidence-based practice.
Workforce Innovations Learning and Action Series
This series provides guidance on how to build an effective staff infrastructure and plan for long-term success through a range of strategies and innovations. These recorded 90-minute sessions are led by subject matter experts, as well as experienced CCBHCs. Each session offers an in-depth look at trends, tools and strategies through practical implementation discussions — all designed to help maximize your workforce efforts.
Middle Management Academy
The MMA program is a 4-week virtual experience that combines 20 hours of live Zoom instruction with 10 hours of individual pre-work. The curriculum emphasizes both learning and applying skills related to employee engagement, staff supervision, change management, diversity/equity/inclusion, healthy conflict, teamwork and trust. This leadership training is meant to build capacity of leadership skills to ensure staff feel better equipped to handle the challenges faced in middle management positions, in turn improving retention concerns.
Professional Development Academy Partnership
The National Council is pursuing a partnership with Colin Powell’s Professional Development Academy, wherein National Council Members will be able to enroll in PDA’s High Performance Leadership Academy, a 12-week mentorship-based program with content provided by industry leading executives. This program provides best practices in leadership, organizational development and change management, negotiation and collaboration, effective business communication, and delivering value within high performance management.
