Evaluation of a GHI Framework: Findings and Recommendations
National and state-specific evidence-based integration models have been demonstrated to work well when properly implemented. However, community behavioral health clinics, including Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs), need practical guidance on the steps they can take to build models that integrate general health care, enhanced referral and treatment.
To address this need, the National Council for Mental Wellbeing’s Center of Excellence for Integrated Health Solutions (CoE-IHS) and Montefiore Care Management Organization developed and evaluated a continuum-based General Health Integration (GHI) Framework within a learning collaborative format to guide community BH clinics as they advance their integrated care practice and to inform policymakers on the successful scaling of this work and its sustainability.
This report outlines key findings and recommendations from the outcomes of the learning collaborative participants.
