CONNECTED
A Guide to Youth-Adult Partnership
for Youth by Youth
Youth of all races, identities and abilities deserve equitable access to mental health supports that are inclusive and responsive to their lived experiences. By sharing power with youth in decision-making, community-based organizations can empower young people to channel their voices of lived experience and create new, more inclusive approaches to improving youth wellbeing.
Meaningful youth-adult partnerships across the nation are inspiring transformational community change to build responsive community support systems that nurture resilience, self-efficacy and mental wellbeing. We practiced these real-world strategies that we hope will empower you to form youth-adult partnerships to achieve a shared vision for youth mental wellbeing.
All youth deserve access to quality mental health supports.
Lived experience is valuable expertise.

This website was created as a part of CONNECTED, a two-year initiative aimed at reducing youth anxiety, depression and suicide in underserved communities through meaningful youth-adult partnerships.
CONNECTED was made possible by funding from a private venture philanthropist and strategic partnerships with Change Matrix, Michigan Public Health Institute, Relias, Watauga Consulting, and Youth MOVE National.
